Eurostar Classes of travel
Eurostar trains consist of 18 coaches in total:
- 10 Standard Class coaches (1-5 & 14-18)
- 6 First Class coaches (7-12)
- 2 Bar/Buffet coaches (6 & 13)
Despite there being only 2 types of coach; (First and Standard), Eurostar passengers can actually choose between 3 classes of travel:
Standard
- Comfortable seats
- Air Conditioned carriages
- 30 minute check-in
- Bar/Buffet coaches serving drinks and light snacks.
Leisure Select - First Class for leisure travellers.
- 30 minute check-in
- Large, reclining seats
- Full drinks and meal served at your seat
- Power sockets (UK and European compatible)
- Newspapers and magazines.
Business Premier - First Class for business travellers.
- Use of business lounges at Waterloo, Ashford, Paris and Brussels
- Fast track check-in at Waterloo, Paris and Brussels
- Large, reclining seats
- Full drinks and meal served at your seat
- Express breakfast option
- Power sockets (UK and European compatible)
- Newspapers and magazines
- Maximum flexibility for exchanging your ticket
- Optional chauffeur service transfers (for an additional charge)
On each Eurostar service, a certain number of First class coaches will be allocated to Business Premier passengers and a certain number to Leisure Select passengers. This number will vary according to the time of day. Early morning, weekday departures for example, will have more coaches dedicated to Business Premier customers. Sunday departures will have most, if not all coaches dedicated to Leisure Select passengers.
