When you get to Lille
You'll arrive just a short stroll from the cobbled streets of Old Lille which are ideal for exploring on foot. Enjoy a drink at a café in the Grand Place and marvel at the neo-Gothic architecture of the Notre Dame de la Treille Cathedral. Take a dip into Lille's art scene at La Piscine, a former public baths turned art gallery, where sculptures are on show by a partly-filled swimming pool.
Getting around
Lille is a great city to walk around, though it's worth taking a peek at the user-friendly metro too, to see the underground art. Look out for impressive pieces at Lille Europe and Beaux-Arts stations.
