From Paris, you can get to Switzerland's major cities by high-speed train - and with the launch of the new TGV Est Européen service, journey times to Zurich are faster than ever, at just 4hrs 35mins.
To get to Austria, just take a TGV Est train to Strasbourg, connect with an overnight train and wake up in Vienna. Or go to Munich and get a connection to Vienna, Innsbruck or Salzburg.
