Rail Europe seasonal services

As well as selling all types of European Rail Tickets, Rail Europe also runs two seasonal charter services, the Snow Train and French Motorail.  Snow Train runs from Jan - early April 2008.  Motorail runs from May - early September 2007, and will be on sale for the 2007 season before the end of 2006.

Snow Train

The Snow Train takes customers from the UK to one of six destinations in the French Alps during the ski season, that serve around 25 popular ski resorts.  The service leaves on a Friday evening, arriving on Saturday morning, and departs the following Saturday evening, returning on Sunday morning.  This gives winter sports fans the opportunity to ski on both Saturdays during their holiday, usually the quietest day on the slopes.

A unique service, very popular with environmentally conscious skiiers.

French Motorail

The ideal way to travel to the South of France with your car, French Motorail trains take two routes - one via Avignon and Frejus to Nice, and the other via Brive and Toulouse to Narbonne.  Cars are loaded onto a car carrier in Calais, and passengers travel in couchette style accommodation.

This overnight service means you won't need to spend hours on French motorways, or hire an unfamiliar car when you arrive.  Pack you own car with everything you'll need before hand, and save time and hassle.

Other Services

Auto/Train

Rail Europe can sell tickets on the French Auto/Train service, a year round service to take you and your car to selected destinations in France.  Passengers must first drive to Paris, where cars are then loaded onto a car carrying train, and passengers take one of the regular day or overnight trains to their final destination.  Cars can then be picked up from the Auto/Train station in their destination.
