Strasbourg isn’t your typical French city. Way over in the east of the country, it’s spent a fair slice of its rich and varied history as part of Germany. The result is an enchanting mish-mash of French and German culture and architecture.
Sasha Bates has written a great guide to France’s 7th biggest city for the
Telegraph website, capturing the charm of this wonderful Alsace city brilliantly.
Strasbourg’s easy to reach by rail, too. Just take a Eurostar service to Paris and switch to a TGV train, arriving in Alsace just over two hours later. Find out more about Strasbourg in our
destination guide.
