Getting there by rail is easy. Simply hop on a Eurostar at London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet or Ashford International to Paris, where you’ll connect with a high speed TGV Lyria service - then sit back and relax as it whizzes you across France into Switzerland with the beautiful Alps. The competition is open to UK residents over the age of 18 only.

Closing date for entry is midnight 9 June 2012.

The competition is restricted to one entry per person, in the event that multiple entries are made only the first entry will be considered.

The winner will be selected at random, from all eligible entries received on 11 June 2012.

All entrants will receive an email from Rail Europe to inform them if they have won and if possible suggesting alternative competitions.

Acknowledgement of the prize must be received within two weeks after the winner has been notified. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner. If a winner cannot be contacted by this time, the prize may be awarded to another entrant. If the entrant selected declines to take part, a further entry will be selected until the prize is accepted.

Rail Europe is providing the travel element of the prize. Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and Switzerland Tourism is providing the accommodation, and Swiss Passes.

The prize tickets are non exchangeable, non-refundable and there are no cash alternatives. All train travel and hotel accommodation will be subject to availability.

The prize must be booked before 1 July and taken before 25 August 2012.

Rail Europe/ Switzerland Tourism/ Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn reserve the right to change or withdraw the competition and/or prize at any time. Entry is restricted to persons not employed by Rail Europe Limited, Switzerland Tourism, Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, their families or agents.

In the event of cancellation by the winner, for whatever reason, no alternative prize or travel dates will be offered. Once a confirmed booking has been made, reservations may not be changed.

The promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering the competition or by the entrants acceptance of the prize. Nothing shall exclude the Promoters liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

Not included: Transport to London St Pancras or Ebbsfleet International. Any spending money, any excursions, and transfers at the destination or any other transport other than specified. Travel insurance is not included. Any costs incurred in addition to the prize package elements listed above (e.g. telephone charges, room service etc) are at the guests own expense.
