Planning your InterRail adventure just got even simpler! You can now book a seat reservation to go with your rail pass directly through the Rail Europe website. That means you can save yourself the time and stress of queuing up at the station by heading straight to the ‘Rail Passes’ tab on our booking form and selecting the ‘Reservation’ option.

Fans of Belgian beer could do a lot worse than heading across the Channel by Eurostar next weekend. Every year the small village of Essen near Antwerp plays host to a Christmas Beer Festival, celebrating the country’s proud position as the Continent’s spiritual home of artisan beers.

A touch of winter and travellers’ thoughts quickly turn to snow sports. Eurostar’s Direct Ski trains from London to the French Alps start on 19 December, allowing eager powderhounds to leave St Pancras at 10am and be in the ski resorts of the Tarantaise region by late afternoon or early evening the same day.

If you’re the kind of person who wishes Christmas could last that little bit longer, Spain is definitely the place to head. Over there the festivities last right up until “El Dia de Reyes” on 6th January, and the night before is one of the most colourful dates in the Spanish calendar.
