If you still need a little persuading that taking the train to Europe is a better option than flying, it might be worth noting that the Government has plans to increase taxes for passengers heading abroad from airports in the southeast of the country. If you’re planning to fly from Heathrow, Gatwick or Stansted later in the year, it might pay to start saving your pennies now.
