EuroCity is a collective term for a European international intercity train. EuroCity trains on the route between Switzerland and Italy (formerly called Cisalpino) reach speeds of up to 160mph as they whisk you to Milan and beyond to Florence and between Venice and Genoa. These sleek trains have a unique tilting design allowing trains to take corners 35% faster – pretty handy on winding Alpine routes.
