Teoz trains whisk travellers to towns and cities across France. Trains run at high speeds from Paris into the heart of the idyllic Auvergne countryside. And you can catch them from Bordeaux in the southwest to Nice in the southeast.

Carriages on Teoz trains are bright and airy. The network has been completely refurbished and you’ll find ample family and disabled facilities onboard. Plus you can go first class and stretch out in spacious leather seats.

The heart of the Auvergne in just 3 hours

Hop on in Paris after taking Eurostar from London’s magnificent St Pancras station. And you could be discovering cultural Nevers in glorious rural Burgundy little more than 2 hours later.

What about Intercites trains?

Part of the network, Intercites trains run on medium distance routes between cities such as Bordeaux, Lyon, Toulouse, Caen, Reims, and Paris.

They’re not quite as modern as Teoz trains. And they don’t have family or disabled facilities, or spaces for bikes. But you don’t have to reserve a seat. So they’re great for exploring France at your own pace.

Planning your journey

You can catch a Teoz from Paris through rural France to Clermont Ferrand. Or, if you’re holidaying in the south of France, they’re a great way to travel from city to city. Below are details of some popular journeys:

Validating your ticket in France

If you’re travelling on a train in France you’ll need to validate your ticket. Look out for the yellow machines marked compostage de billets – usually located just before or on the platform – and insert your ticket in the slot. Inspectors on the train will check your ticket during your journey, and if it isn’t validated you’re likely to face a fine.

You may also need to validate your ticket when travelling within other European countries. Look out for validation machines in the station or on the platform, and if you’re not sure check with station staff.
