East of the city centre, the station lies on the edge of the old town, next to the seafront district of Barceloneta. Central Barcelona is easily accessible by a short train journey. The nearest metro station is a few minutes’ walk away.

The Barceloneta metro stop (line 4) is a just a few minutes’ walk from the station.
The taxi stand is just outside the station. There are plenty of black-and-yellow taxis throughout the city – you can hail them in the street.
The R10 line connects Franca with the central stations of Sants and Passeig de Gràcia. Elipsos tickets are valid to these stations.
Dating back to 1929, França is one of Spain’s most important examples of iron architecture and Barcelona's most attractive station. The mix of classical and modern styles with marble, bronze and crystal decoration, as well as modernista and art déco stylings, make the station a sightseeing destination in its own right.
