Zurich Train Station is in the heart of the city. But buses and trams are also on hand to take you to your hotel.
Bahnhofplatz 7, 8001 Zürich
Opening hours:
24/7 daily
The train station is within walking distance of the old town and lake, if you feel like stretching your legs.
Buses and trams run throughout the city and are extremely reliable. Remember to buy your tickets and validate them in the punching machine before you board.
Taxis stop outside the station. But they are very expensive when compared with the public transport on offer. There is also a water taxi (Wassertaxi) in the city, which runs from one side of Zürichsee lake to the other, stopping at several destinations along the way.
Zurich Train Station is a fairly large railway station with over 50 tracks serving trains from all over Switzerland, plus France, Italy, Germany and Austria. There is an underground shopping centre beneath the station, home to shops and several restaurants.
